A Very Odd Day
Mood:  a-ok
Now Playing: The Air Conditioner
Well...I had a good day, but considering events I shouldn't have...

My mom woke me up by bitching at me, David took my seat next to Trent, Samantha was drum major and I almost cried when she called attention, I locked my keys in my car, my power went out...but I had a decent day besides. LoL.

Marching Band Camp
Mood:  a-ok
Now Playing: "Jump in the Line" by Harry Belafonte, "Last Chance" by Shooting Star
Band camp!!! Again!!!

We started marching band camp today. I was so happy. I got to put on my uniform again. A very glorious feeling.

Mark is sexy...but really creepy. He was standing behind the hat boxes for no apparent reason before band started, and as I came around he gave me this unsettling sort of look. Creepy.

We got our new freshmens today. Allison is so cool. And we got Troy!!! I love Troy. He's great. And we got Phil. I think he liked me last year, but I was never sure, and I don't know if he does this year...I'm terrible at reading people.

Some guy looked like he was looking at my ass in McDonald's. He was marginally good-looking though. So that's always a plus.

Mr. R put me on 2nd part for "America", and he put Trent on first. Not the way it works in this house, be-atch.

I saw Timmy for the first time in at least a month. I was so happy! But he hung out with April and her friends a lot...more than he did with us. Should I be miffed? I think I should. Oh well. Maybe it's just me.

Mr. R did not hit on me today. Thank God.

Over and out.

Guess I forgot to tell you I went to Chicago for a couple of days, huh? Well...I did. I'm tired. I'll talk to you later.

Back from Band Camp
Mood:  chillin'
Now Playing: "Kiss Me" by 6 Pence None the Richer
BAND CAMP KICKED ASS!!!

The hours were terrible, but I got a respectable 4th chair, and I got to room with one of my friends from last year ("Brownie" is her nick name.)

Cory and Rob and Trent and I sang a spectacular rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody" on the way back to the dorms one night. And just about every night we had a party in one of the lounges. Good times.

I met a whole bunch of awesome new people and I got to hang out with the old ones. Good times.

Friday, we had a dance, and Samantha (the new drum major) did my makeup. She did a really good job; Josh (the 3rd chair) told me I looked "fine", as in hot. I was very happy, as I have never been "fine" before. There was a live band (drums, trumpet, sax, bass guitar, regular guitar, singer), and we danced the night way. I busted a move. I was the disco queen, and Trent was my king! We danced...a lot...and now I can't help thinking he does still like me. He sure acted like it, if you know what I mean ;) He's a very confusing boy. I also got to dance with Mike, the Mark look-alike. He pulled me out on the floor and we got our freak on. LoL. Then I danced with Cory A., who is an amazing dancer. He's got kind of a dorky charm to his dancing, but he's really good. He also looks like Frodo (woo!). I danced with Jered (the most amazing trumpet player EVER) and D'Angelo, and a couple others. Basically, I just had a kickass time. Today after the concert, Cory told me (in a weird German accent for some reason), "You dance very well." Hey, I like compliments! If I don't write them down, I'll forget.

We played awesome music and had an awesome concert (you've gotta play "The King Across the Water"!) We got to reherse in Altgeld, which they were almost done remodelling. It's an amazing building. Yeah, we had to have choir, but we came out of it with so many stupid jokes, not to mention a song we couldn't stop singing, that I didn't mind.

Over and out. Glad to be back. I'll start fan fics again soon.

Fairly Oddparents and BAND CAMP!!!
Mood:  energetic
Now Playing: "Fairly Oddparents" Theme
I'm thinking 2 hours of "The Fairly Oddparents" is enough for one day. I swear, that movie was at least an hour and a half. But it was a good movie, so I forgive them. But now the little voice in my head sounds like Timmy! No, not my friend Timmy. The kid-with-the-pink-hat Timmy. This happens whenever I'm exposed to things for long periods of time though. Like "Harry Potter". The voice in my head came out of that movie sounding like Fred/George.

I'M GOING TO BAND CAMP TOMORROW!!! BAND CAMP!!! I woke up this morning and my heart was about to jump out my throat. And it is now too! EXCITEMENT!!! Ow, my stomach hurts. I have to get ready. I've hardly packed at all. Oh well! I'll solve that. Argh, ow, pain. I have to pee!

Over and out!

Forgot to say...
Mood:  cool
Now Playing: "Yellow Submarine" by the Beatles
Yeah, a few things I forgot to add...

I'll try and get some writing done at band camp. With two hours before dinner every day for, like, 5 days, I think I'll be able to get something done.

Also, for those of you keeping up with the site (AKA no one but me), I think I'm going to post some things in various categories regarding band camp. You know, what to do, what not to do, what to pack (besides what you need), fun things to do that you probably shouldn't be doing...and other lovely band camp tidbits.

*Please sign the guestbook*

Over and out...again. Food's here!

Recap
Mood:  not sure
Now Playing: "Yellow Submarine" by the Beatles
Forgot to tell you about 4th of July, huh?

Danielle, Trent, and I had a good time. Melanie and her brother never showed up because Melanie doesn't seem to know the meaning of "biggest hill in town", or "hill with cemetary". So instead they sat on the hill by the fireworks. And so did Captain Adam and Kayne. Needless to say, I was not happy. It's still pissing me off.

But I digress. Then I drove Trent home. What should have taken 5 minutes took 20, thanks to policemen parked in the middle of the road waving orange pointy glow sticks at us. We went down one street to avoid them; it was a dead end. We went down another; it was blocked off. We went down another, through the trailer park ghetto, and to Main Street. We were almost home free when..."MOTHER F***ER!!!" Another road block. So I flew around a corner shouting obscinities, and eventually we made it back onto Main Street with no further road blocks, and, finally, to Trent's house.

And that was my 4th of July.

Quintet concert coming up. Woo. We have one more rehersal scheduled for tomorrow, during which I get to see Trevor for the 2nd time this week. I'm happy. Then, BAND CAMP!!! So don't expect any updates for a while, my fan fiction fans. I will try and post before I leave, but I'm not really in any mood for sitting down and writing, at least not the kind that involves me going upstairs.

Over and out for now.

4th of July Plans
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: "The Horse" by Cliff Nobles
IT'S THE 4TH OF JULY!!! I'm so happy, I'm so happy. I have plans with people other than my parents. I have friends to do stuff with. Yay! I'm very excited. About having friends and going to see fireworks with those friends (Danielle, Melanie, Melanie's brother Andy, Trent).

I'm also happy because I've finally gotten "Rock Me Amadeus" to download right. I love that song. I wonder why I still have friends...

We don't have orchestra tomorrow. Yay. I don't wanna go, really.

Rock me, Amadeus. Over and out.

Happy Birthday!
Mood:  don't ask
Now Playing: "I Would Walk 500 Miles" by Ten Thousand Maniacs
First of all...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMERICA!
I lost track of how old you are! Woo! Go terrible memory!

I think America should actually get a present on her birthday. I mean sure, we get to see fireworks and have BBQ and junk like that, but America should get a present. At least clean up New Jersey for her, huh?

Can you believe the geniuses at Tripod didn't put "tired" under mood?

I couldn't sleep a wink this morning (I went to bed at 12, hence, "this morning".) I'm not as tired as I should be. This is strange. I'm going to blame it on the fact that I'm a teenager coupled with the fact that I was wearing long flannel pants during a Mid-West summer. I am the next Einstein, I tell you.

My New Life's Ambition
Mood:  chillin'
Now Playing: "Aliens Exist" by Blink 182
I have discovered my new life's ambition. I've figured out what I'm going to do with that degree in music; I'm going to become a high school band director. Plus, the fact that Kayla said I look and act like a band director put the cap on it. Go me! I would have told you sooner, people-who-are-probably-not-reading-this-or-caring, but I didn't feel like writing.

I got my lisence! Go me!

I went to quintet Wednesday, and I saw TREVOR!!! I think he's growing his hair curly again! Why am I happy? It makes him look like Frodo! Plus he's sex-ay with curly hair. TREVOR!!! *Does weird thing Mr. Crocker does when saying "FAIRY GODPARENTS!" (And if you don't know what I'm talking about, you're a looser. Watch the Fairly Oddparents, and you'll get it).*

In orchestra, we're playing a medly from TTT and one from Harry Potter. I almost hyperventilated when I found out.

Over and out. READ MY FAN FICTION *does Crocker thing again (I'm not sure why).*

The Weirdest Dream Ever
Mood:  spacey
Now Playing: "Beach Baby" by First Class, "Get Ready" by the Temptations, "Michelle" by the Beatles
Yeah, I had the weirdest dream last night. I was at some camp in the woods with my Girl Scout troop, and we were sitting on the lawn in front of our cabin, and all of a sudden, one of the self-acclaimed leaders showed up and started bitching at us for some reason-something about disposable cameras. Then we ran inside our cabin, and one of the other leaders tried to console us while another went around hugging us. Then, I was riding a white horse reciting poetry about the end of Middle-Earth through camp, and Middle-Earth must really have been ending, because there was an air of dread everywhere and I felt like my heart was going to split. The next thing I remember, I was in my garage with at least 30 characters from LOTR and Harry Potter. I remember some Rohirrim and Eowyn and Grima being at a table, and Sauron was there, and I think Voldemort was too. My friend Billy, who moved a while ago, was there too. Here, there was not so much an air of dread as an air of hostility. Then, Sauron commanded Billy and me to collect all the parts of the "good" computer outside under a tree in my lawn. Where Sauron got a computer, I'll never know, and why Sauron was on the "good" side, I'll never know. It must have been LOTR versus Harry Potter or something. In then end, we were missing 2 parts, but Sauron threw them to us and we won. I guess if we hadn't collected the parts of the computer Middle-Earth would have been destroyed or something, and that was the only way to reverse it. All of a sudden, Billy turned evil, possessed by Voldemort or something. For some reason, I had a teddy-bear-shaped sucker in my hand, and there was a fondu pot in front of me. The instructions on the back said to dip the sucker into the pot, and it would seperate into 3 pure, branching molecules and another bear, and that what was left of the bear I was to dip in again, and it would seperate again in similar fashion. I should do this until there was no bear, and I would have the purest candy ever, and that I should give it to Billy and turn him good again. On doing this though, I was turned into a ghost, and sent to the ghost world. I found myself walking down a misty, translucent, rainbow-colored street, with misty translucent, rainbow-colored buildings, each building a different color, and all the people were the same way too. Then, I was sent to a large building with a large pool of water covering the floor below a large expanse of steps. There we were told to find a "mate", and we all lined up on the steps and had a look at each other. Some people still couldn't decide, and had 2 or 3 people they were hanging around. First I had my eye on this guy named Rico Suave. I am not kidding you. His name was Rico Suave. He had black hair that was slicked back and he had on black pants and a white, ruffly shirt. He was a Latin-American singer. Go figure. Then some guy came by and started dancing with me, but he was old, so I settled on hanging around a guy who looked like Ted from band camp, who was confused about the whole process and was sitting by 2 other girls who were kind of ignoring him. There was another girl, a non-ghost (we weren't really dead), who looked purple, and was trying to get into the room. Everything outside the room seemed to be purple. Then, I was sprinkling puprle powder on someone sitting in a chair just outside the room. I think it was Billy, but I'm not sure. I was trying to turn him into a ghost, I think. After that, I remember speeding through some kind of large, underground river that only ghosts were allowed in. I came to some large, pink creature that had something to do with ghosts; some fairy-like voice was telling me about it, and she told me that I could not go back to the surface unless I wanted to turn human again. We began talking about Irland as the place of ghosts and fairies. For some reason, I think I was in a place called Finland that wasn't really Finland, because it was in England. I must have come out of the ghost realm, though, because for the remainder of the dream, I was killing earth worms and then proclaiming and mourning the fate of Middle-Earth.

Cancellations
Mood:  lyrical
Now Playing: "Save Me" by Queen
Well...I am driving tomorrow, but lessons/quintet are cancelled; that means no Trevor or Trent or anyone. But I've scheduled a movie night for next Friday. Jamie will be so happy!

I guess I need to work on the site, huh? Ha ha, I'll get to it.

I'm quitting drama club and devoting myself entirely to band and scholar bowl. Go me.

When I drove today, Scholar Bowl Pat picked me up. I don't know why that's significant. LoL.

Peace out.

Checkin' In
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: Barroom Hero
Still looking for a freaking job. Oh well. I have Dropkick Murpheys to keep me entertained. And "The Sims".

I've been driving with the instructor the past 2 days. Go me. Some jackass in a semi was driving with us today. First, some stupid f***er in a pickup pulled in front of me right as I was trying 2 make a lane change, and then, when I could finally pass this semi, he sped up right along side us, like he was racing us or something, and I just opened 'er up (I'm so cool with my cool words) and passed him. Stupid dumbass. Maybe his truck crashed. Laura and Toni were shouting 2 flip him off, but we decided it was a bad idea.

I still haven't seen the new "Harry Potter". I am very upset. But I'm getting my lisence early next week, so that makes up for it.

Orchestra yesterday (blah), quintet/lessons tommorow (yay). That means I get to see Trevor! And I don't have to wait for my mom at the library; I'm driving again!

Strange Dream
You wanna hear about the weird dream I had last night? No? Too bad. I'm telling you anyway.

I don't remember quite where it started...it might have been 2 dreams...anyway...in the 1st part, I was sitting on the living room couch at one end, and Billy Boyd was sitting on the other end (in his kilt. Hooray!), and he was looking at me THAT WAY. My dad was sitting in the recliner next to the couch, not doing a thing. Andy was on the floor, and for some reason, I got down on the floor and started making out with him, and then my dad threw a hissy fit and chewed me out. Then I either woke up, or there was a pause in the dream, and this one happened. This next one. Right here. Actually, down there; I'm starting a new paragraph.

There were a bunch of us sitting where Tripolli's used to be, and I was sitting with Trent and Melanie, and for some reason I wanted to go to CVS and buy a camera. John (the weird one going out with Sarah, who is also weird) thought something was wrong with the camera, so he took the camera and took a machine out of his pocket and started fiddling with it and it started making noise. I got pissed and him and grabbed it away and said, "I know what you're trying to do but that's not what's wrong!" Then, I came back and sat next to Trent, and he started giggling and said that we had to act like we were going out in order to hide "the secret" from Melanie. I don't remember what the secret was, but it had something to do with men's underwear. So we cuddled up close to each other and Melanie came over and looked at us suspicously, and then...we were walking down a corridor built the same as the one in front of Tripolli's, but it was on the side of a mountain or something. We ended up on the edge of the high school property, and the band was marching there, but they were in red and black and gold uniforms. Our new drum major (DIEEEE!!!) was conducting at the BACK of the band for some reason, and she had a whole chorus of male dancers, dressed like drum majors, and they were prancing around in choreographed step. Captain Adam (HOORAY!!!) was there watching, and all of a sudden, the band started playing "On Wisconson" (our fight song), and I freaked out and started conducting and I only got off once, and I ended on the right beat! But that's not the point. Captain Adam started taking roll call or something, and then he gets to himself, rolls his eyes, and says, "Okay, and what's MY name?" And I jumped around like a moron and started shouting, "CAPTAIN ADAM!!! CAPTAIN ADAM!!! YOUR NAME IS CAPTAIN ADAM!!!" He just glared at me (like in real life!) and I calmed down and said, "Uh...I mean Adam. Your name is Adam." And then the drum majors threw their hats off, like at the end of a big musical number, and the dream faded to black, like a movie.

I know you all care so much about what goes on in my head, but that was mostly just for my recording purposes. Peace out.

Orchestra
Well...not quite what I expected...kind of disappointed. Dr. Burke is nice enough, but because of a lack of selective auditions, IT'S SWAMPED WITH CRAPPY PLAYERS AND LITTLE KIDS!!! AAAAAH!!! But the Tuba Boy is there, which makes up for it. He's so cool. He does a little dance that makes him look like an elf! I want a Tuba Boy!

I'm back and I'm 16!!!
Like the title says, I'm back from Trout Lodge, and as of 7:59 this morning, I was 16! Don't get my lisence till 3 weeks from today, though (anger!!!). I have some hilarious stories...let me tell you!!!

THE MAJOR PLAYERS:
Neal aka English-Sebastian's (the German life guard of 2003) red-headed replacement.
Melanie-One of my best friends
Audra the 2nd aka Audra-Me!

Melanie and I decided that we'd go out sailboating on the Lake. I, however, did not know how to sail, and she wasn't old enough. So we teamed up, and together, it was all good (I told them I'd be 16 Monday, and they gave me the go-ahead). So who else gets us all set to sail but Neal, the hot foreigner (pale, red-haired, and a British accent; there is a god!)...who just happens to be shirtless. So we get in the stupid boat with few problems, and then we're off. The sky is blue, the sun is out, and there's a gentle breeze, perfect for sailing. Then, the wind picks up a bit. Not a problem; Melanie had the sail fairly well under control, and I was doing just fine with the rudder. Then...the boat starts to tip. We both automatically scream and freak out. We scramble around to try and keep it from capsizing. Miraculously, it worked, and we were floating upright. I decided that we could handle it from there, and I dared to take us into open water. No big deal. Everything was under control...until the wind picked up. We were starting to tip and zig-zagging every which way, and I got hit in the head with the boom. After those couple of minutes of pandemonium, I decided going back was a wise idea after all. We headed back for the boat house...only I had not mastered the rudder as well as I first thought, and the wind decided to blow harder...and we were so close to shore! After at least 15 minutes of trying to get back...we got stuck...in the weeds. To our, but mostly my, mortification, the hot foreigner and another life guard were coming out in the motor boat to rescue us. But we began to slowly move out of the weeds, and there was hope of getting back to shore unscathed and unaided, allbeit a little bit shooken up. That chance disappeared and fast; we were blow back out into open water, and this time, the resuce boat came out to get us...with Neal in it. They tried to help us back to shore, but I proved incapable with a rudder. Eventually, I ended up diving head first into the back of their boat and Melanie climbed into the front. We got back to shore just fine...but Neal was stuck out there with no wind, and it was 15 minutes before he got back. Another sailing mishap involving a hot foreigner at Trout Lodge. I'll tell you about last year's mishap later. Did I mention that the British guy was hot?

Overall, excellent trip. We were forced to eat WAY to often, but Potosi aka Mike, who seemed like a real jerk last year, was not so bad, and he remembered us and he talked to us from time to time. He's an OK guy. I met another person named Audra, and I turned 16, and got chased down at least 8 flights of stairs, shreaking at the top of my lungs, by Jamie and Danielle, the "Birthday Spankers". Fun fun fun!

Thoughts on Pending Trout Lodge Trip
I am suddenly very excited about this trip; I just remembered the "boat house boys". Last year, there was a very cute little German guy, who couldn't have been any older than 18. Then there was the English guy. I don't really know how old he was, but I don't care; I'm a sucker for pale skin and English accents. This year, MORE FORIEGN PEOPLE!!! I love Trout Lodge. It's so much FUN!!! Maybe they will have a Scotsman this year...Audra, this is not a zoo. They won't just HAVE a Scotsman. Scotsman, preciousss, Scotsmansesss...I THINK I'M GOING TO WET MYSELF!!!

Later that day...
Nothing has happened...still. I did rent "Master & Commander". That is an excellent movie. Music: excellent. British accents: excellent. Billy Boyd Apperances: not enough! Bring 'em on!

I'm in need of a bigger duffle bag. Too much stuff! Someone needs to invent spray-on pants, cuz regular pants take up too much space. All I'd have to do is take the can and WALAH! INSTANT PANTS!!! There would be different cans for different pants; you could buy capris or jeans or shorts and all you would have to do is take them to the counter and specify the color and they'd mix it up for you, like paint at the hardwear store. Am I a genius or what?

I should have done my range exercises today...I really should have practiced. Well...there's the lesser half of tomorrow to do it, I guess. Maybe I'll get that silent brass system! Then I can go long into the night! Hooray!

Hey. Well...it's only 8:47, so not much has happened; I only woke up about 10 or 20 minutes ago. Today is a day of laundry and cleaning. I have to pack for tomorrow's trip, and we're celebrating my birthday today (it's not until Monday though)! Four days out of the house will be nice. Oh, who am I kidding? No one is reading this. Oh well. Someone will...someday. Ugh, my feet stink!!! Need to go clean my shoes!!!

A blog is born! Blog is a funny word...anyway. Woo. The site is coming along. I wonder if anyone is actually going to visit...I hope so! If you are reading this now, please check out the site and post something in the guestbook so I know you came.

I saw Allison, my freshman, today! Kayla adopted one, so now it's my turn! I should adopt Troy, too. He's a fun kid.

Grrr. My arms itch. I hate bugs. Stupid arthropods...*itch*

I had quintet today. Woo. I sit next to Trevor the Trombone, aka THE GENERAL. He's so cool...in an understated way. I'd give anything to be 1/2 as cool as THE GENERAL. He kind of scares me though; he looks too much like Frodo (Peter Jackson's version) for my comfort. Not that that's a bad thing...but it is kind of creepy. Oh well.

Not much else to say, really. Just takin' the old blog for a spin. Orchestra starts Monday. I'm happy. I've never been in one before. Should be interesting.
